Youth baseball and Pee wee baseball at Kids Sports

Opportunity is what Pee Wee Baseball is all about. Players seven to twelve in age have an opportunity to participate in youth baseball in a safe and enjoyable environment

<<<< Here's how we're organized >>>>

Rookie League
Players in this league learn basic baseball skills and plays, in a positive fun-filled environment. All 7 and 8 years olds are assigned to teams in this division, however, if they previously played one season of Rookie ball they may move to the Minor league. Players who are 7 years old and have played one season of Tee Ball or other organized baseball, may play in the Rookie division. Rookie league utilizes a pitching machine to encourage hitting development. A team's entire lineup bats each game and ten players will be in the field for defense. The season ends with a single-elimination tournament.

Minor League
The goal in Minor league is to teach baseball fundamentals and team participation. Competitiveness is secondary to providing a variety of playing opportunities in order that all ballplayers properly learn the fundamentals of the game. Typically 8, 9, and some 10 year olds participate in this division. The Minor league utilizes a combination of player and umpire pitch. Each team bats through its complete team roster every game. The season ends with a modified double-elimination tournament.

Major League
The Major league plays competitive baseball while recognizing the goals of teaching baseball fundamentals and good sportsmanship. Playing requirements are intended to insure that all ballplayers receive an opportunity to develop their skills under game conditions. Those 10 year old ballplayers who are drafted, and all 11 and 12 year olds, play in this league. The season ends with a true double-elimination tournament.

All Stars
Two post season all star teams are formed. An "A" team for 12 year olds and a "B" team for 11 year olds. Selections are made on a try-out basis. This is a competitive, traveling team program. Ballplayers participating in post-season play are usually interested in further refining baseball skills and competing against all star teams from the inland northwest and Canada. All star season usually begins in mid June and may extend into early August.
