        T-Ball League

T-Ball (ages 5 and 6)
This league is for 5 and 6 year olds. The goal in this league is to teach the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. For the first two games, all batters will hit the ball from a batting tee that allows the batter to swing level. After two games, the batter’s coach will “lob” the pitch to the batter. Any player who does not hit the “lobbed” pitch after three strikes, will then hit off a tee. All players present for the game bat in order, whether playing defensively or not. Each player plays a minimum of two innings defensively. An adult coach is stationed beyond the infielders in order to provide instruction to all defensive players. The primary goal is to begin to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment.

T-Ball Division (Ages5 and 6). In this division players will be introduced to basic fundamentals, mechanics and rules of the game. Sportsmanship and fun are the primary goals in this division, no scores are kept.. Coaches may pitch to players after the 2rd game of the season regardless if players can hit a coach pitch or not. A batter is given no more than 3 pitches to hit before hitting off the tee.  The tee must be brought in immediately if a player has missed 3 coach pitches. Opening Day will be at the John R. Harp Baseball Complex. League play begins in May with two games played per week throughout the season.

Every season, we need coaches for this division

Baseball Instruction. We maintain a collection of instructional videos at the Flathead County Library, which may be checked out. Please take advantage of these instructional materials – they’re beneficial for players, parents, and coaches.

When questions arise, please contact league officials or ask your coach. We expect all coaches, parents, fans and umpires to be positive role models around the ball fields. Please provide positive encouragement and leave criticism and negative attitudes behind. Thank you for participating in our baseball program. Working together, we can provide an enjoyable summer for all of our ball players.
